The Brazilian government qualifies over 34 thousand people through investments in policies for tourism
The Brazilian government invested in qualification policies for tourism and made available a wide range of courses - 94 in total. The number of students qualified for the sector hit a record in 2021; 34,864 skilled people. In 2020, there were 7,126 ones.
The initiative relies on a partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and Brazilian teaching institutions. The courses offered were Tourist Attendance, Tourism Manager, and training focused on Hygiene and Safety in Means of Accommodation and good food handling practices.
Furthermore, the government of Brazil also made available training and inclusion courses to better serve tourists with disabilities.
In addition, specific vacancies were given to tour guides to improve the interaction with foreign tourists, such as English and Spanish courses and technical specialization in natural and cultural attractions.
