In order to guide Afghan refugees who had their rights violated in their homeland, the Brazilian government launched the “Human Rights Guide for Afghan Migrants and Refugees in Brazil”.
The publication brings guidelines and topics such as combating xenophobia and the right to health, education, work, religious freedom and other rights and duties guaranteed by the Brazilian Constitution to foreigners.
So far, more than 1,000 visas have been granted to refugees, stateless persons and people affected by the situation in Afghanistan, which is experiencing serious institutional instability, with serious human rights violations.
