The Brazilian government is building Fashion City in Acari, state of Rio Grande do Norte. Part of the National Integration Routes, it aims to integrate local productive arrangements in the Seridó region, known for its clothing, weaving and commodity trade.

The National Integration Routes initiative maps and invests in networks of local productive clusters associated with strategic productive chains, to promote the inclusion and sustainable development of the regions prioritized by the National Policy for Regional Development.

In the city of Acari, ten industrial warehouses, a convention center, a public square, shops and training rooms are planned, as well as investments in research, training, innovation, differentiation and competitiveness, resulting in around 4,000 new jobs in the region.

To date, 11 Routes have been established - distributed in 49 hubs installed in different Brazilian regions. Besides fashion, some other chains include Açaí, Biodiversity, Cocoa, Lamb, Circular Economy, Fruit Growing, Milk, Honey, Fish and Information and Communication Technology.
