The Brazilian government enacted the Inter-American Convention against Racism, Racial Discrimination, and Related Forms of Intolerance, reinforcing its role against prejudice.
Created in 2013 in Guatemala, the Convention mandates that states formulate and implement policies that provide equitable treatment and generate equal opportunities for all people.
The elaboration and implementation of policies to combat prejudice are priorities for Brazil, which develops actions and programs with specific secretariats to guarantee equality to all Brazilians.
