Cooperation Agreement destines US$ 875,000 for basic sanitation in rural areas

The Brazilian government has signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation concerning US$ 875,000 in investments for sustainable sanitation services in rural areas and traditional communities.
The Agreement also includes technological development and an exchange of best practices, and is part of the government’s Rural Brazil Sanitation Program, which aims to grant universal sanitation services to the countryside, benefiting 40 million people in up to 20 years.
