The Pro Trilhos Program was created by the Brazilian government to modernize legislation and allow the private sector to become more engaged in the construction and operation of railways and railroad terminals.
Since its implementation, the Pro Trilhos has reached 15 states, with 27 contracts signed for the new railroads' installation across the country. It is expected that R$ 133.24 billion will be invested in the new projects.
The new railways should add around 10,000 kilometers of new tracks to the Brazilian rail network, helping to decarbonize our transport matrix and modernizing the flow of commodities.
