Public school teachers have an increase in salary of 33,27%

Acknowledging the valued work of 1,7 million k-12 public school teachers, the Brazilian government promoted an increase in salary of 33,27%, the highest raise in more than a decade. These professionals are responsible for more than 39 million students in all of Brazil.

The measure is an important step towards improving schooling and raising teachers to the leading role in the resumption of normality in the years to come. The government recognizes education as a tool for transformation and social, economic and technological development.
