New military paratroopers complete graduation

Over 8 thousand people attended the graduation of the new military paratroopers trained in 2022. In a ceremony held by the Parachute Infantry Brigade on July 8th, 861 young soldiers, 89 from the Brazilian Navy and 772 from the Brazilian Army, received their paratrooper licenses.

At the 26th Parachute Infantry Battalion’s Field Parade, awards were also given to the Army soldiers who excelled in basic individual combat training – a complement to the training of paratroopers.

As a highlight of the ceremony, the trainees’ families and friends were invited to hand over to the new paratroopers the red beret and the silver brevet, which, together with the brown boots, make up the “winged triad” that marks the paratrooper's identity.
