International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Brazil remembers with great sadness and a solemn spirit the many victims of the Holocaust who were murdered by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. The Brazilian government is committed to fight anti-Semitism in all its forms and protect human rights.

Brazil joined the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) as an observer. The Alliance brings together governments, international organizations and experts working to combat anti-Semitism and to preserve the memory of the Holocaust.

Brazil will work within the IHRA to promote education and research about the Holocaust, as well as to improve national policies to combat anti-Semitism, in the context of the Brazilian commitment to combat all forms of discrimination and protect basic liberties to all.
