The Brazilian government is building Infovia 00 in the Amazon region, in the states of Amapá and Pará. This infrastructure is part of the Connected North program that will receive around R$1,5 billion from the 5G auction to benefit the 25 million inhabitants of the Amazon region.
The Infovia 00 megaproject will connect 1 million people in more than 80 riverside communities in the Amazon, including larger cities like Macapá e Santarém, through 770 km of fiber optic sub-river cables, thus avoiding deforestation and having low environmental impact all around.
