The Brazilian GDP in 2022 is expected to grow more than twice beyond what had been previously forecasted by the International Monetary Fund last April. In its newly released Global Economic Outlook report, the IMF states Brazil's GDP should grow up to 1.7%, instead of 0.8%.
In contrast, the IMF has revised its 2022 world GDP forecast downward by 0.4% due to higher inflation rates worldwide, stronger-than-predicted slowdown in China’s economy, and the negative repercussions of the war in Ukraine. World GDP is now expected to grow only up to 3,2%.
