The Brazilian government - through a partnership between the Special Secretariat for Sport and the Brazilian Confederation of School Sports - resumed the Brazilian School Games (Jogos Estudantis Brasileiros - JEBs), after a 17 year absence.
The event, held in Rio de Janeiro last year, gathered more than 5.300 students from 12 to 14 years of age from all over the country, competing in 12 individual and 5 team sports. A unique opportunity for exchange and development for students who aspire to an athletic career.
