Brazilian exports reach their highest monthly value in history, US$ 29.09 billion in March, a 25% increase. Brazil also registered record surpluses, trade flow and imports for the same period in previous years, and unprecedented numbers in imports and exports in the first quarter.
Imports increased 27.1% last month and reached US$ 21.71 billion, a surplus of US$ 7.38 billion, up 19.3%, by daily average, compared to March 2021. Trade flow reached US$ 50.81 billion, up 25.9%. Both imports, surplus and trade flow were records for the month of March.
In the 1st quarter, trade flow rose 26% and reached US$ 132.16 billion; US$ 71.74 billion in exports and US$ 60.42 in imports, or a surplus of US$ 11.31 billion, up 37.6%. This historic record in exports was driven by the 1.8% increase in volume and 17.2% rise in the prices.
