Brazil signed the “All-Atlantic Declaration” to promote the sustainability of the Atlantic Ocean
On July 13th, Brazil signed the “All-Atlantic Declaration”, an international commitment to build a long-term alliance for sharing knowledge, infrastructure and capabilities to promote the the Atlantic Ocean’s sustainability through research, development and innovation.
The document was signed in Washington during the second section of the 2022 All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum Ministerial Event. Besides Brazil and the United States, the signatories are South Africa, Argentina, Cape Verde, Canada, the European Union, and Morocco.
A previous Scientific Event was held in Brasília from May 31st to June 2nd, with the aim of promoting scientific dialogue about existing initiatives, nurturing discussion of new priorities and engaging funders and decision-makers on matters relating to the Atlantic Ocean.
