Brazil is now part of the Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety (WP.1), a permanent UN body that brings together around 160 countries and addresses strategic issues to improve road safety in a global context.
Brazil's entry into the forum happened after the approval of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and is a sign of the commitment of the Brazilian Government to road safety and the development and implementation of best practices for road safety around the world.
