Thanks to product quality, rising international demand and a favorable climate for productivity, Brazil broke a historic record with more than US$ 1.21 billion in fruit exports in 2021.
The record published in a bulletin issued by the National Supply Company was higher both in volume and in revenue, which exceeded US$ 1.21 billion, 20.39% above the amount calculated until December 2020.
The total volume of fresh fruit shipped abroad was 1.24 million tons, 18.13% higher than in the same period last year. The main destinations for exports were the European Union (48%), the United States (16%), the United Kingdom (14%), Argentina (4%) and Canada (3%).
