Brazil announces the “Strategic Alliance against Transnational Organized Crime”

The Brazilian government’s initiative to integrate the best in security of the countries of Southern Cone of South America to intensify the fight against regional crime.
Paraguay is the first nation invited to the Alliance, in recognition of its already intense and frequent cooperations in the sector, dealing continuous blows against organized crime.
Since 2019, in joint operations, the two countries seized and destroyed 11,620 tons of marijuana, confiscated R$230 million in assets from drug traffickers who operated near the city of Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, and arrested leaders of the infamous criminal organization PCC.
