Brazil and UK present results of the partnership in Intellectual Property
Brazil and the United Kingdom have presented the results of their partnership in Intellectual Property through the program “An Intellectual Property Office for the 21st Century”, developed by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The collaboration's objective was to modernize the processes and internal systems of the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI - in 5 areas: Quality Management Systems, Process Management Systems, Service Price Policy, IT Strategy and HR Strategy.
After two years, 915 actions were taken to improve these processes, resulting in positive impacts for the citizens, making INPI’s office a world reference. INPI moved from 41 in the 2018 World Trademark Review (WTR), and now ranks as 6 in a list of 60 analyzed offices, tied with Australia and Chile.
