Brazil achieves lowest unemployment rate since 2015

The Brazilian unemployment rate decreased to 9.3% in the last quarter - down 1.8% compared to the previous quarter, and the lowest level since 2015. The amount of the unemployed dropped 15.6% compared to the period between Jan-Mar 2022.
The employed population, estimated at 98.3 million, is the largest in a decade. It represents an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous quarter, meaning 3 million people entering the job market from Apr-Jun 2022; 8.9 million new workers when compared to the same period in 2021.
