FOREIGN USERS IN THE SICAF
User support for foreign users in the Unified Suppliers Registration System is now faster and more efficient.
The Sistema de Cadastramento Unificado de Fornecedores (Sicaf, translated as Unified Supplier Registration System), designed to centralize and streamline the registration and management of suppliers within the Brazilian public procurement system, has improved its service for foreign users. Changes have been made to services related to information retrieval and modification in Sicaf.
The User Support Center is now equipped to handle inquiries related to the secret question and its answer, as well as the email used for registration. Previously, foreign users would open a ticket with the Support Center, which would then forward the request to the Serviço de Processamento de Dados (Serpro - Federal Data Processing Service). Serpro would then retrieve or modify the data registered in Sicaf.
Now, the request to Serpro is no longer necessary. This change results in a much more agile process, with a faster response time for the user. Additionally, there are significant savings, as the federal government no longer incurs expenses for adjustments made by Serpro.
