1 - How is the irradiation process performed?
The process is performed manually. The Gamma Irradiation Laboratory is equipped with a multipurpose irradiator with the following characteristics: panoramic exposure geometry, equipped with a dry-stored Cobalt-60 source.
2 - What materials are irradiated by LIG?
There is a wide range of materials and products, and supplies from the blood components, medical, hospital, cosmetic and veterinary materials segments. We also perform color modification or induction in gemstones.
3 - What do I need to do to use the service?
The first step is to register with our laboratory. The request and any questions should be sent to the email lig@cdtn.br.

5 - I don't know the dosage, what should I do? How is the irradiation dose defined?
The dose is defined by the customer according to the product. If the customer does not know the dosage, the best thing to do is to look for dosage indications in the literature and perform scaled dosage tests with the items.
6 - How do I know if my product has been sterilized?
The Gamma Irradiation Laboratory (LIG) performs irradiation at a dose specified by the customer. To perform the microbiological test on your product, you must look for another facility that performs this service.
7 - How much do the services cost?
The irradiation cost varies according to the product to be irradiated, as well as the dose applied.
8 - What is the payment method?
Payment is made via bank slip, sent to the registered email.
9 - Is there a packaging standard?
Yes, there is a specification for each material. Contact LIG for more information.
10 - What are the delivery methods?
We accept deliveries from individuals, legal entities, carriers or the Post Office.
11 - What is the delivery time?
The estimated delivery time is ten business days, but may vary depending on the dose and weight of the irradiated item.
12 - What are the safety criteria?
The Gamma Irradiation Laboratory periodically performs inspections and calibrations on its equipment. LIG is certified by ISO 9001.
