Brazil House in Madrid
The Brazil House in Madrid, connected to the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers support and housing to Brazilian students and researchers. It plays a relevant role in the development of post-graduation studies, housing in permanent basis several students undertaking researches in the Spanish capital.
Other aims of the Brazil House in Madrid are the spreading of Brazilian culture and the teaching of the Portuguese Idiom, mainly through lectures, concerts and expositions. People from all over the world visit it, and it´s object of academic thesis from Archictecture and History of Art students, being annualy visited by thousands of persons.
Founded in 1962, it´s an unique building in the city, named the “ Official Home of Spanish Architects”, and was built from a joint project of Luis Afonso d´Escragnolle Filho and Fernando Barberá.
