The PROPEX-Defense Program is a partnership between CAPES and the Ministry of Defense and aims at supporting researchers in order to increase technical qualification in strategic Defense areas. Civilian researchers will be financed by Capes and the military by the Ministry of Defense.

Individual Scholarship

Objectives

• To support the qualification of highly trained professionals in the multiple strategic Defense areas;
• To amplify academic cooperation among Brazilian Higher Learning Institutions (IES), Brazilian Research Institutes (IP), the Ministry of Defense organs and the Armed Forces and their foreign peers;
• To contribute to the international mobility of researchers, professors and students of Brazilian IES, Brazilian IPs, organs from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces personnel;
• To promote academic, scientific and technological production in strategic Defense areas;
• To collaborate with the increasing of absorption of technology in strategic Defense areas, following the Working Plan.
