Strategic Planning
Strategic planning is a management tool that establishes a plan to guide the organization over a specified period. It clearly defines the guidelines for action, the objectives to be achieved, and the strategies for reaching those objectives. Its analysis will always consider the current political-institutional context, aiming for greater effectiveness of results and efficiency in resource management. It can be defined as a systematic process of indicating means to achieve one or more organizational objectives and is characterized by the creation of alternatives and decision-making regarding the organization's positioning (what it is, what it does, and where it aims to go).
CAPES' Strategic Planning for the 2020-2023 cycle was conducted in an integrated manner with organizational units, following the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) methodology. Its main output is the Institutional Strategic Plan (PEI), which includes the value chain, the strategic map (with the mission, vision of the future, values, and set of strategic objectives), the panel of indicators, established goals for monitoring and evaluation, as well as the portfolio of strategic projects.
