Risk Management
Risk management is a permanent, established, directed, and monitored process by Senior Management that encompasses activities to identify, assess, and manage potential events that may affect the organization, aiming to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of its objectives.
The new Risk Management and Internal Controls Policy of CAPES is regulated by CAPES Ordinance No. 301, dated December 22, 2022, integrating risk management into the Institutional Strategic Planning, processes, and policies of the organization.
CAPES's risk management adheres to some fundamental principles:
- Provide security to the internal environment of the institution;
- Support Senior Management and managers in decision-making;
- Address uncertainties and doubts when implementing actions and activities for the target audience;
- Be carried out systematically and in a structured manner;
- Serve as a tool for continuous improvement of the institution's processes and procedures.
