Revista de Defesa da Concorrência welcomes submission of articles
The Revista de Defesa da Concorrência (RDC), an electronic and open-access publication edited twice a year by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), welcomes the submission of articles throughout the year. Researchers, students and antitrust professionals interested in submitting their manuscripts for consideration can access the full submission instructions on the journal’s website.
The publication aims at fostering academic research and disseminating information on competition defence. Any articles submitted must be unpublished and address topics related to the editorial line of the periodical. Furthermore, among other rules, the texts are to be written in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish.
The anonymised manuscripts are first assessed based on content compatibility and observance of formatting rules.
After being approved in the first phase, they are subject to a double-blind review by specialists not linked to CADE. In this phase, the criteria considered relate to the contribution to the scientific knowledge, consistency of the results presented, and the innovative nature of the work.
A3 classification by CAPES
The RDC went up the journal ranking maintained by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES), an agency of the Ministry of Education responsible for evaluating higher education research publications.
The journal was classified into the A3 Qualys category. A3 is the third category in the journal ranking, behind A2 and A1.
The Qualys system is a method developed by CAPES to classify the scientific production of works published in scientific journals. The evaluation is made by specific consultancy committees in each area of knowledge using previously-established criteria by CAPES.
The papers published in the RDC between 2017 and 2020 went through this assessment, resulting in the classification of the journal into the A3 category in the two areas assessed: Law and Economics.
