CADE’s guide on leniency applications makes the final shortlist of international award
Once again the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) makes the final shortlist of the Antitrust Writing Awards. The international event is organised annually by Concurrences–a French independent legal publisher dedicated to antitrust law and competition economics–and The George Washington University Law School’s Competition Law Center.
The Brazilian antitrust authority competes for ‘Best Soft Law – Concerted Practices’ with its guide ‘Parameters for Submitting Evidence in Leniency Applications’.
Published in September 2021, the document results from the analysis of evidence in cases involving cartels and concerted practices adjudicated by CADE’s Tribunal in the past 27 years.
The ‘Best Soft Law’ category contributes to raising awareness about antitrust laws and building a culture of competition by disseminating relevant practices in the field.
You can vote at the Concurrences website. Voting is public and anonymous and runs until 25 March 2022.
The awarding ceremony of the Antitrust Writing Awards 2022 occurs on 5 April 2022.
