Lílian Marques, chief economist, Victor Oliveira Fernandes, commissioner, and Juliana Domingues, attorney general of CADE, are taking part in the workshop that includes meetings with course coordination, coordinators of research groups, lectures, and chats with students of the institution. The topics on the panels include: leniency agreements, competition analysis, and digital markets.

Besides the purpose of CADE to prevent and suppress antitrust violations by reviewing mergers and investigating anticompetitive conduct, the authority also has an educational role.
In this context, the antitrust authority aims at educating the general public about practices that can jeopardise market competition in Brazil. Some activities proposed include training, workshops, seminars, and events to promote and disseminate competition culture.
The project, which started in 2023, will take place in at least two universities per each macro-region of Brazil in 2024.
