CADE takes part in Corporate Governance event
On 9 August, Lílian Marques, Chief Economist of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), attended the Seminar on Investments, Governance, and Legal Aspects of Supplementary Pensions (SIGA), held by the Pension Fund of Banco do Brasil Employees(PREVI).
The second edition of the event covered some topics, such as energy transition, low-carbon economy, the future of oil, climate events, and also diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) policies.
Ms Lílian Marques took part in the panel on integrity and best practices. The Chief Economist stated that CADE can add to the discussion by presenting the overlap between integrity and performance in their core activity cases (merger control and repression of anticompetitive conducts). “In attending such events, CADE aims to strengthen the competition culture among different market players”, she concluded.
The seminar gathered leaders from Brazilian closed supplementary pension entities, as well as presidents of Boards of Directors and Fiscal Boards, company CEOs, asset managers, investment banks, capital market institutions, and regulatory bodies.
