CADE signs technical cooperation agreement with ANAC
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) signed a technical cooperation agreement (ACT) with the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The agreement aims to promote good investigation practices and connect the organisations, promoting more speed and efficiency in the fight against cartels and other antitrust violations.
The document establishes information exchange and development of studies, research, and educational materials on how to promote fair competition in civil aviation, airport, and aviation infrastructure.
Mr Alexandre Cordeiro, president of CADE, clarifies that cooperation encourages the competitive environment, fostering essential dialogues between the institutions under the agreement. “These partnerships reinforce the authority’s internationally renowned technical quality and investigative skills, which will keep protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair competition in the Brazilian market”, he highlighted.
Both President Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo and Tiago Pereira, managing director of ANAC, signed a technical cooperation agreement for a five-year term, with an action plan in effect until mid-2028.
