CADE launches the Second Edition of its Competition Journal
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE launched the Second Edition of its Competition Journal. The Authority’s Journal is edited biannually and aims at developing academic production concerning Economic Defense and at spreading Knowledge on the area.
The journal’s second edition brings a total of nine articles, divided between two sections: news and doctrine. Some of the approached themes are gun jumping, cartel penalty’s measurement, international joint ventures, and leniency documents protection.
Articles for the third edition may be submitted in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish, only via the website www.cade.gov.br/revista, until January 31st 2014. Articles will be previously evaluated by the editorial team, whom will verify the contents compatibility with the journal, as well as if it suits formal requirements. Those that did not comply with the formal requirements will be returned to the authors and may be submitted to the next edition.
Approved articles on the first round will be evaluated by specialists outside CADE. Those specialists will account for the article’s acceptance, with or without restrictions, or for the article’s rejection. The entire evaluation process done through the website without the authors’ identification (blind review).
The criteria taken into account by the specialists are: scientific knowledge contribution, outcome consistency, and innovation. The article must be unpublished and may not be under evaluation by another journal. Furthermore, authors must follow the formal requirements guideline, as well as the methodological guidelines, available at the journal website.
