CADE hosts visit of European Parliament member

On 6 November, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) hosted the visit of Andreas Schwab, a member of the European Parliament.  The Superintendent-General, Alexandre Barreto, chaired the meeting.

The conference aimed to discuss the main challenges of implementing a new law to regulate digital platforms, based on differences and similarities faced by the Brazilian and European authorities.

The event gathered representatives of CADE, such as Commissioner Victor Oliveira Fernandes; Assistant Superintendent, Diogo Thomson; Chief Economist, Lílian Marques; Deputy Head of the Advisory Unit, Ricardo Medeiros de Castro; Coordinator-General, Carolina Helena Fontes; Coordinator of Antitrust Analysis, Marcus Vinícius Silveira de Sá; and Head of the International Unit, Bruna Pamplona.
