CADE conducted survey to steer its new Open Data Policy Plan
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) launched a survey on 2 August of 2021 to receive contributions from society for its 2021–2024 Open Data Policy Plan. The document was intended to guide actions to implement and promote the opening of data on the authority's performance.
Respondents collaborated with the authority's plan by filling out a form to indicate which data they considered relevant to be made freely available.
In addition, respondents could suggest how information should be presented and how often data should be updated.
The survey was available until 15 August of 2021.
Open Data Policy
CADE's Open Data Policy Plan follows the provisions of Decree no. 8777/16, which institutes an open data policy for all of the federal executive branch and takes into consideration principles and guidelines from other regulations that address active transparency, such as the Access to Information Law (Law 12527/2011).
The Decree aimed mostly at fostering a culture of public transparency and providing open access to data from federal government bodies' databases and those obtained or stored by the federal executive branch.
To implement the policy, public entities should prepare a plan on their policy containing actions to open data and maintain their databases.
