Technical Data Package
The technical data package is a collection of public technical data selected by ANP for the Open Acreage process, which the composition is a set of regional data of the sectors or of a group of sectors.
For each basin where the offered blocks are located, one or more technical data package were made, according to the Tender Protocol.
The payment of the fee to access the Technical Data Package is optional, not related to the Participation Fee, neither obligate the bidder or restrict the bidder offer on the public presentation of offers .
ATTENTION: The ANP makes technical data available free of charge, provided through the REATE and PROMAR programs, which can be obtained by any interested party according to the guidelines available on the page in Portuguese Acesso aos Dados Técnicos.
The REATE Program (Program for the Revitalization of Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Activity in Land Areas) is a National Policy to promote the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in land areas in Brazil, in order to provide the regional development and stimulate national competitiveness. The REATE Program makes available all public data on terrestrial sedimentary basins that appear in the ANP database.
The PROMAR Program (Program for Revitalization and Incentive for Production of Maritime Fields) aims to create conditions for the revitalization of mature maritime fields and better conditions for the economic use of accumulations of oil and natural gas considered to be of marginal economicity, also located at sea. The PROMAR Program partially makes available public data on marine sedimentary basins available in the ANP database.
Access and withdrawal of Technical Data Package
The technical data package shall be forwarded to business corporations which follow the steps as the Tender Protocol brings:
(i) fulfillment of electronic submission form;
(ii) receipt of payment of participation and access to the technical package of the sectors of interest fee;
(iii)submit the document showing the sectors that were paid for to access the technical data – IV Annex;
(iv)present the confidentiality agreement referring to the data that are part of the technical data package – VIII Annex.
In case of confidentiality agreement to be executed by the same legal representative of business corporation who has signed the Terms of Service of the Exploration and Production Database (BDEP), in line with ANP Resolution 889/2022 or by supervening norm, it should not be necessary to scrutinize the signatory powers to remove the data package, provided that:
a) The bidder that signed the BDEP Terms of Service is the same that is participating of the Open Acreage Process;
b) The Terms of Service to remain up to date and valid.
Procedures for removing the technical data package
ATTENTION: Temporarily, access to the technical data package via remote access to the E-bid system is temporarily unavailable. Therefore, the collection of the technical data package can only be carried out in person at ANP/Urca, located at Av. Pasteur, nº 404, blocks A4, Urca, Rio de Janeiro - RJ.
The company must request the in-person collection of the technical data package via e-mail rodadas@anp.gov.br.
After the request, instructions will be sent for scheduling in-person pickup.
After scheduling, the company must deliver directly to the Exploration and Production Database (BDEP) a new external hard drive (HD), in sealed packaging, with a minimum storage capacity of 1 TB, for recording technical data. Next, the responsible team will record the HD and schedule the date for removing the HD with the recording.
Technical data packages may be collected:
a) By appointed representative;
b) By legal representative of business corporation entitled to Terms of Service BDEP;
c) A person appointed by entitled representative or legal representative of the BDEP of Term of Service. The name, the identification and the position of the authorized person shall be included in Annex IV of the tender protocol.
