State Safety Program
In accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards contained in Annex 19, States shall establish and maintain a State Safety Programme (SSP) that is commensurate with the size and complexity of the State’s civil aviation system. In order to meet this requirement and considering that the civil aviation responsibilities are shared between ANAC and COMAER, the Brazilian state published its State Safety Programme (PSO-BR) in 2009, indicating that both ANAC and COMAER should develop their own respective Safety Programs (PSOE).
In this context, ANAC published the first edition of its PSOE in 2009 and reformulated it six years later during a complete review process.
