RPA Class 1 (maximum takeoff weight greater than 150 kg)
Remotely piloted aircraft Class 1 (maximum takeoff weight greater than 150 kg) must to be registered and have a standard or restricted Certificate of Airworthiness. In this case, you need to follow all procedures established in RBAC No. 21 (only available in Portuguese).
Important! In specific situations or for experimental purposes, you may have an Experimental Certificate of Airworthiness or a Permit to Flight.
The aircraft and its associated systems need to be subject to an Annual Maintenance Inspection every 12 months. The owner or operator needs to present an Annual Maintenance Inspection Declaration for the RPAS attesting its airworthy condition. All maintenance actions, repairs and alterations shall be performed in accordance with RBAC-E No. 94 Subpart G and other applicable regulations, including RBAC No. 43 ( only available in Portuguese).
