Seventh Round
In the 7th round of airport concessions, 15 airports grouped in 3 clusters are being offered to the private sector, following the example of the bidding processes of the 5th and 6th rounds. The decision for the new concessions occurred with the publication, in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU), of the Resolution No. 145, of December 2, 2020, from the Council of the Investment Partnership Program (CPPI), which dealt with the qualification of these airports under the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) and the National Privatization Program (PND).
The airports will be granted in three regional clusters with the following configuration:
- General Aviation Cluster: Campo de Marte Airport - São Paulo/SP (SBMT) and Jacarepaguá Airport – Roberto Marinho - Rio de Janeiro/RJ (SBJR).
- North II Cluster: Belém – Val de Cans – Júlio Cezar Ribeiro International Airport - Belém/PA (SBBE) and Alberto Alcolumbre International Airport - Macapá/AP (SBMQ)
- SP/MS/PA/MG Cluster: Congonhas Airport - São Paulo/SP (SBSP); Campo Grande Airport - Campo Grande/MS (SBCG); Corumbá Airport - Corumbá/MS (SBCR); Ponta Porã International Airport - Ponta Porã/MS (SBPP); Maestro Wilson Fonseca Airport - Santarém/PA (SBSN); João Corrêa da Rocha Airport - Marabá/PA (SBMA); Carajás Airport - Parauapebas/PA (SBCJ); Altamira Airport - Altamira/PA (SBHT); Lt. Cel. Aviador César Bombonato Airport - Uberlândia/MG (SBUL), Mário Ribeiro Airport - Montes Claros/MG (SBMK) and Mario de Almeida Franco Airport - Uberaba/MG (SBUR)
Together, the 15 airports of the 7th round account for 26% of the paid passengers handled in the Brazilian air transport market. In 2019, there were 39.2 million boardings and landings.
