Civil aviation authorities sign revision of the CMT collaboration strategy
On Tuesday, October 29, representatives of the Civil Aviation Authorities that make up the Certification Management Team (CMT) signed Revision 1 of the CMT Collaboration Strategy during a meeting held at the headquarters of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (Easa) in Cologne, Germany. The document sets out the CMT's strategic objectives, establishes key results for each objective, and outlines the priorities identified by the authorities for the coming years, promoting coordinated action toward regulatory harmonization.
The CMT is composed of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (Easa), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (Anac). The CMT Collaboration Strategy revision aims to provide the aviation industry with predictability regarding the CMT’s future actions, as well as to support the efficient management of resources within the authorities on priority and harmonization activities.
This strategic alignment reflects the authorities' commitment to coordinating their efforts to facilitate the global development of aviation, focusing on safety and efficiency. The signed document is available for public consultation on the Anac website.
The new revision of the CMT Collaboration Strategy reinforces the joint efforts of CMT authorities to promote a well-aligned regulatory environment, geared towards the future of aviation and the strengthening of international cooperation in the sector.
