ANAC Participates in the 2024 FAA-EASA International Aviation Safety Conference in Washington, D.C.
From June 11 to 13, 2024, the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) participated in the 2024 FAA-EASA International Aviation Safety Conference held in Washington, D.C., USA. The event brings together leaders and representatives from the civil aviation industry and Authorities worldwide to discuss crucial issues for international civil aviation safety.
In this year’s Conference ANAC was invited to moderate two panels: “Enhancing Efficiency with TSO/ETSOs” (Roberto José Silveira Honorato, ANAC’s Head of Airworthiness), and “The Future of Flight Simulation for Training” (Bruno Diniz Del Bel, ANAC’s Head of Flight Standards).
Beyond the scheduled conference agenda, ANAC delegation took the opportunity to strengthen and explore new partnerships with other Civil Aviation Authorities. As results of the bilateral meetings that took place during the Conference, the following achievements can be noted:

Signature of the Technical Arrangement (TA-AC) with Singapore (CAAS);

Signature of an amendment to the ANAC-FAA IPA;

Signature of an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding with Switzerland (FOCA);

Revision of the Terms of Reference between ANAC and TCCA.
Additionally, important cooperation agendas were discussed with the authorities from Japan, China, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the Certification Management Team (CMT), which brings together Anac, Easa, FAA, and TCCA for product certification.
One of the conference themes this year was how authorities are organizing and structuring their regulations to accommodate the future Advanced Air Mobility system, which deals with solutions for managing Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) traffic.
