ANAC approves public notice for the rebidding of São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport
The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approved, on February 7, during the Deliberative Meeting of the Collegiate Board of Directors, the public notice for the rebidding of the International Airport of Natal - Governador Aluízio Alves (ASGA), in São Gonçalo do Amarante (RN).
ANAC’s approval of the notice of rebidding is unprecedented, since it is the first one, demonstrating that the instrument of rebidding is viable and will contribute to the continued development of the country’s infrastructure. There are 10 other rebidding processes in progress in the Federal Government: seven for highways, one for railroads and two for airports.relica

Scheduled to be published in the Official Gazette on February 8, the public notice sets the auction date for May 19, 2023. After the publication of the public notice, the phase for requesting clarifications begins, from February 9 to March 10. The receipt of bids by interested parties will be on May 16.
The winner of the auction must fulfill the previous obligations before signing the contract. After the signature, the award payments will be made and finally the contractual effectiveness will begin.
ANAC will define, until the contract is signed, the indemnity and the payment process. The calculation of the compensation will be made public as soon as it has been accredited by the independent audit company in charge.
Located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante, the airport is 18 kilometers from the Port of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, and 30 kilometers from the city center, besides being close to roads connecting to other capitals in the Northeast, such as João Pessoa (PB) and Recife (PE). With capacity to receive six million passengers a year, the airport was the first in Brazil to be granted to the private sector, at the beginning of the last decade, when the rounds of airport concessions in Brazil began.
