Registration for the InovANAC Security 2021 award is open

The contest will reward innovative ideas and actions. Applications can be made until September 26.

Registration is open for the InovANAC Security 2021 award edition. Launched on July 7 by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the award aims to disseminate innovative ideas and practices that can serve as inspiration or reference for other initiatives to promote civil aviation security against acts of unlawful interference in Brazilian airfields, air operators and AVSEC instruction centers.

The purpose of the contest is also to value citizens who act in a creative and proactive manner in pursuit of civil aviation development. The registration of the works must be done via an electronic form available at ANAC’s website (available only in Portuguese) until September 26, free of charge.

The InovANAC Security 2021 edition will award the first place in each of the two categories of the contest: category 1 is intended for innovation actions carried out by companies that operate in the air transport modal – such as aerodrome operators, air operators, AVSEC instruction centers or companies of auxiliary services to air transport.

Category 2 is aimed at innovative ideas, planned individually or in groups, which have the potential to add positive value to the security of civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference. To learn more, access the InovANAC Security 2021 regulations (available only in Portuguese).

The winners of each category will be known during the IX AVSEC Journey, to be held in November of this year. More information about the IX AVSEC Journey will be released soon on ANAC’s website.

InovANAC Security 2021 Edition

In celebration of the Year of Security Culture (YOSC), established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the 2021 contest will be part of the initiatives to celebrate the promotion and awareness of civil aviation security against acts of unlawful interference in aviation operations worldwide.

To reinforce this milestone, ANAC will launch, throughout the year, initiatives and events aimed at promoting individual and collective actions in favor of AVSEC culture in the Agency, in other public agencies with AVSEC responsibility, and in the industry.
