Pandemic outcomes: demand for flights in April 2021 maintains 61% retraction compared to 2019
The demand and supply* of domestic passenger air transport in April 2021 compared to the same month in 2019, when aviation was not under the impact of the pandemic, showed a retraction of 61% and 59%, respectively.
In the same comparison with April 2020, the indicators were positive, because Brazilian aviation experienced the worst month and functioned only in an essential way at the beginning of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.
Important: for a better understanding of the impact of the pandemic on air transport in 2021, it is necessary to consider the corresponding month of 2019.
