The export of animal products depends on the inspection and oversight activities performed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, according to the provisions of Decree 9,013, dated March 29, 2017 (RISPOA).
Regardless of negotiations and contracts signed by companies with importers abroad, the main steps that any establishment must follow in order to be eligible to export these products are:
- Establishment registration with the Federal Inspection Service;
- Compliance with domestic health requirements and those of the importing country;
- Approval of the establishment for export;
- Product certification.
