Attraction of Foreign Investments
The attraction of foreign investments to the Brazilian agribusiness has been one of the main tasks of MAPA. This subject matter deserves special attention, since Brazil is among the countries with the best conjuncture for investments in agribusiness, with space for investments in all fields of the agricuture industry complex.
Regarding the subject, MAPA acts strategically, articulating with both the public and private sectors aiming at catalyzing the entry of foreign capital into the domestic agribusiness. The main objective of this job is promoting meetings of agribusiness Brazilian entrepreneurs with potential foreign investors, as to attract more investments to Brazil. For this purpose, the Ministry acts in two sides, the prospection of opportunities of investment in the Brazilian agribusiness and disclosure of those opportunities to foreign investors.
This higher input of foreign investments in the sector tends to increase of value added to agribusiness products, logistics improvement on their production and distribution, among other gains, rendering them more accessible to the domestic market, and more competitive within the international market. Furthermore, with investments, there are several new job opportunities in Brazil.
