New market accesses in Cuba and Japan
The Brazilian government is pleased to announce new authorizations from Cuba and Japan for the export of Brazilian agricultural products to these countries.
In Cuba, Brazil has secured market access for the export of sheep and goat genetic material (semen and embryos).
Japan has approved the import of various Brazilian products, including cassava meal, hay (alfalfa hay and pellets, Medicago sativa, and timothy hay, Phleum pratense), dehydrated citrus pulp, dried clove flowers (Syzygium aromaticum), dried mate leaves (Ilex paraguariensis), and macadamia nuts, both shelled and unshelled (Macadamia integrifolia).
With these new authorizations, Brazil has reached its 168th market access in 2024, bringing the total to 246 new commercial opportunities in 60 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
