New market access for Brazilian agricultural products in Mali
New market access for Brazilian agricultural products in Mali
The Brazilian government and Mali's sanitary authorities have reached an agreement on the models of International Sanitary Certificates (CSIs) for the export of seven agricultural products from Brazil to Mali. These products include live cattle and buffalo, as well as bovine, ovine, and caprine semen and embryos.
Over the past three years, Brazilian agribusiness exports to Mali have totaled approximately USD 5 million. With a population of more than 23 million people, the majority of whom live in rural areas, Mali presents significant growth opportunities for Brazilian agricultural input exports.
With these newly secured market access opportunities, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 42 new openings in 2025, bringing the total to 342 since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements result from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
