Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock offers course on soil health and agricultural sustainability in English and Spanish
The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), through the National School of Agricultural Management (Enagro), has launched translated versions of the course "Soil Health, BioAS Technology, and Agricultural Sustainability" in English and Spanish. The goal is to provide participants with information on Soil Bioanalysis Technology (BioAS) and agricultural systems and management practices that promote soil health.
Additionally, the course " Production and Quality Control of Biological Products Based on Bacteria of the Genus Bacillus for use in Agriculture" is available in English. These training programs are a collaboration between Mapa, Embrapa, and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).
This initiative targets producers and rural extension workers, agrarian science professionals, students, cooperative technicians, public servants, and other interested individuals. The course spans 20 hours and includes content related to agricultural systems and management practices that contribute to soil health.
The new versions were made available by the Department of Support for Agricultural Innovation (Diagro) due to the importance of the topic and the success of the course in Brazil, with the aim of promoting the technology in other countries. The Portuguese version has already attracted over three thousand enrollees.
