Market access in Morocco

The Brazilian government has announced that Moroccan health authorities have approved a new International Sanitary Certificate (ISC), updating the requirements for Brazilian beef exports and authorizing the import of beef offal into Morocco.

With a population of over 37 million, Morocco is a promising market for Brazilian agribusiness. In 2023, Morocco imported more than USD 43 million in meat products, with Brazil ranking as its second-largest supplier. In 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Morocco totaled approximately USD 1.36 billion, with key products including sugar and ethanol products, cereals, flours and preparations, live animals, and coffee.

This agreement not only reflects Morocco’s confidence in Brazil’s sanitary inspection system but also creates new opportunities for Brazilian producers to expand commercial partnerships.

With this development, Brazilian agribusiness reaches its 46th new market opening in 2025, totaling 346 new business opportunities since the beginning of 2023.

These achievements are the result of coordinated efforts between Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
