Market access in Bolivia for export of Brazilian animal by-products
The Brazilian government welcomed the announcement by the Bolivian government granting sanitary approval for Brazil to export blood derivatives, hemoglobin, and plasma from cattle and swine to Bolivia.
These animal by-products are highly nutritious and widely used in the feed industry.
This is the second market access gained in Bolivia within a year; in December 2023, Brazil successfully opened the Bolivian market to exports of fertile eggs.
Since the beginning of 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Bolivia have reached around $300 million, with forestry products leading the way.
With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has secured its 198th market access this year, totaling 276 market entries across 61 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of collaborative efforts between Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
