Brazil secures new market access in Morocco
The Brazilian government has secured approval from Morocco to export DDG ("Dried Distiller Grains") to the African country.
DDG, a nutrient-rich byproduct of grain distillation in the agribusiness sector, is commonly used in animal feed to enhance the protein and energy levels in livestock diets, particularly for ruminants like cattle.
In 2023, Morocco was the fourth-largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports in Africa, with total exports amounting to $1.23 billion. Trade between the two nations reached $2.65 billion that year.
With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved its 106th market access of the year, bringing the total to 184 accesses across 58 destinations since the beginning of 2023.
This achievement is the result of collaborative efforts between Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
